What do the numbers mean?
Streamflow
Measured in cubic feet per second (CFS), streamflow estimates how much water passes the gauge each second. A “good” flow depends entirely on the river and activity.
Gauge height
Gauge height is the water surface elevation relative to a local reference point. It is not the river’s depth and should not be compared directly between different gauges.
